Nearly all victims of SBS suffer serious health consequences and at least one out of every four babies who are violently shaken dies from SBS. Understanding how to recognize injuries from SBS as well as how to implement preventive measures can save lives. This CEU reviews SBS signs and symptoms, risk factors and potential outcomes, while outlining preventive strategies to reduce incidents of SBS and related mortality rates.
