Research presented by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) suggests that millions of Americans, across the country, are suffering from depression and/or anxiety. Therefore, it should be no surprise to health care professionals that their peers and colleagues may be suffering from depression and/or anxiety. The question is, how can health care professionals help their peers and colleagues who may be suffering from depression and/or anxiety? This course answers that very question, while providing insight into depression and anxiety.

CEU Course Objectives

  1. Explore depression and anxiety disorders.
  2. Evaluate the symptoms and diagnostic criteria related to major depressive disorder and generalized anxiety disorder, while obtaining insight into what health care professionals should consider while working alongside individuals suffering from depression and/or anxiety disorders.
  3. Identify recommendations that can help health care professionals effectively work alongside those individuals suffering from depression and/or anxiety.
