It is imperative health care professionals understand how to treat and prevent stroke. This CEU will provide nurses with critical insight into stroke epidemiology, while outlining the research process and the clinical trials that may provide new treatment strategies and hope to those who suffer from stroke.

  1. Distinguish the differences between the forms of stroke and how they affect patients.
  2. Examine stroke risk factors, diagnosis methods and current treatment strategies.
