Treatment of opioid dependence remains a national priority.  This CEU course provides an introduction to extended-release injectable naltrexone, examines how it compares with other medication-assisted treatment options, and offers clinical strategies that may be used to select, initiate, and administer treatment.

  2. Investigate who may be good candidates for treatment with naltrexone.
  3. Examine when use of the medication is contraindicated.
